Three pass rushers the Steelers should consider at No. 49

The defense led the Steelers to an 8-8 record.

With the draft coming up, the Steelers could get even better on the defensive front. Led by T.J. Watt, Minkah Fitzpatrick, Bud Dupree, and Cameron Heyward, the Steelers could boast one of the best defenses in the league.

The Steelers do not pick until No. 49, but can still come up with a dominant pass rusher. Any of these three players would do.

Terrell Lewis-Alabama

Lewis had a productive senior season at Alabama. In 10 games, Lewis racked up 21 solo tackles and 6.0 sacks. One of the biggest concerns is his injury history; however, he showed last season he was back on track. His junior season was lost with a knee injury, while his sophomore season was cut in half with an arm issue. Based on last season, the Steelers could get their bang for their buck.

Alton Robinson-Syracuse

Robinson could be off the board by then, but if he is available, then the team should leap to draft him. In 2018, he finished with 10.0 sacks, but dropped to 4.0 last season. However, he has the strength and athleticism to become a real edge rusher in the NFL.

Jonathan Greenard-Florida

Greenard missed most of 2018 with a wrist injury, but showed what he can do when he is healthy. After transferring from Louisville to Florida, he put up some of the best numbers in his career. In 2019, he finished with 10.0 sacks, 16 tackles for loss, and 53 combined tackles in 11 games. He would complement T.J. Watt on the other side. Personally, he is our favorite pick at No. 49.
