Ezekiel Elliott Has Brutally Honest Admission On Playoff Loss

Many believed that the Cowboys would make it to the playoffs if they could find a team with the right combination of talent and experience. Ezekiel Elliott, the star running back spoke out about his disappointment at the team’s 23-17 loss to the Wild Card.

“Yeah, it’s disappointing. This is the best team I’ve been on,” Elliott admitted. “It is disappointing. We hurt. It hurts all of us. We’re all hurting. We just have to rally around each other and start thinking about next year.”

Despite their struggles, the Cowboys were unable to score a potential go-ahead touchdown in a chaotic fourth quarter. They were not helped by Dallas’ slow start. The offense’s decision with only 14 seconds remaining and no timeouts to run a QB drawing was at best questionable.

Ezekiel Elliott, the Cowboys’ most expensive weapon, didn’t help the team win enough. Zeke managed just 31 yards in 12 carries. Dak Preston failed to gain 254 yards from 23-43 pass attempts. The touchdown was a touchdown, and the pick was also made.

After securing the NFC East title, it was not the end the 12-5 Cowboys had hoped for. Jerry Jones will need to think about whether he would like to do it again.
