Cowboys First Round Pick Reportedly Dealing With Concerning Injury

Dallas Cowboys First Round player is currently a little injured.

According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, first-round tackle Mazi is not practicing on Tuesday. He is scheduled to have an MRI done on his left knee as he has been battling tendinitis.

Cowboys hope that Smith’s injury won’t be serious, as they have high expectations for him in 2023.

He played for three seasons with the Wolverines. His best season was the third, when he had 49 total tackles, including 23 solo, one sack and one forced fumble.

Smith is expected to provide additional pass-rushing assistance, relieving Micah Parsons (their two edge rushers) and Demarc Lawrence.

Dallas will begin its preseason against Jacksonville on August 12. The kickoff is at 5 pm ET. ET.
