Video: NFL writer calls Jon Bostic’s hit on Andy Balton Dirtiest Hit Of The Season

It couldn’t get any worse for the Dallas Cowboys at the time.

The team trailed 22-3 at halftime to the Washington Football Team, which eventually led to a loss. Backup quarterback Andy Dalton was already looking terrible as he filled in for the injured Dak Prescott.

Dalton took a devastating blow that led to him exiting the game. Officials are calling the hit to his head a concussion, which led to Ben DiNucci making his first NFL appearance.

Jonathan Bostic, the 29-year old linebacker for WFT, threw himself in Dalton as the quarterback slide before reaching the first down marker. Some writers believe that Bostic’s hit was dirty, including Marcus Mosher who tweeted, “Suspend Jon Bostic forever. What a garbage hit.”

It was not a clean hit. Quite frankly, it really doesn’t get much dirtier, so a fine and/or suspension is probably coming Bostic’s way. Bostic was ejected from the game for his hit on Dalton.

Dalton was so bad that there are rumors that the Cowboys could look to swing a trade for Ryan Fitzpatrick. Dalton finished the game 9 of 19 for 75 yards and an interception.

The Cowboys have scored just one touchdown in two games, which is a huge black eye. If the Cowboys can’t fix their issues soon, the team could spiral towards a top pick in the draft. Ezekiel Elliott rushed for just 45 yards, while Michael Gallup and CeeDee Lamb  were both held to zero receptions and zero yards.
