Video: Ezekiel Elliott limps off field following awkward tackle

After an awkward tackle where Elliott’s ankle was held under the weight of his tackler, Ezekiel Elliott, Dallas Cowboys running back, limped off the field. Elliott was able to catch a quick route to the sideline and was quickly wrapped up by his tackler. The knee of the tackler drove into Elliott’s right leg. Elliott appeared immediately in pain and motioned to the sideline to request a substitution. He limped slowly to his teammates.

After their two previous failed drives, Dallas suffered an injury on its first drive. After a three-and out, the Cowboys opened the game with a touchdown. Kansas City then opened the game with a touchdown. The Cowboys didn’t respond to their second drive and the game ended on the third play when Dak Prescott lost his ball.

The Cowboys had success on the drive Elliott sustained injuries on. They finally put some points on the board after trailing 9-3. Elliott’s injury, which he has been suffering from for the majority of the season, will be a topic to follow throughout the game.
