Cooper Rush threw 325 yards against the Vikings in a win last season, when Dak Prescott was hurt. Today he is proving again why the Cowboys chose to give him the reins after Prescott hurt his thumb in the season opener, rather than seeking outside help.

After taking the first kickoff, the Cowboys got on the board their first drive Sunday. Dallas ran 75 yards in 12 plays and converted one fourth.
The Cowboys converted a fourth-and-2 at their 44 with a Rush pass of 17 yard to Noah Brown.
Six plays later, Rush & Brown teamed up for a 9 yard touchdown.
Rush was 5-of-6 for 42 yard and a touchdown during the Cowboys’ first drive. Brown caught two passes for 26 yard and the score.
