Tony Pollard Reacts To The Ezekiel Elliott Injury News

Ezekiel Elliott has been prone to injury throughout his career, and it reared its ugly head on Wednesday.

Elliott was injured in the win over Detroit Lions last Sunday and will miss practice. Mike McCarthy, the head coach, said that Elliott would not practice Wednesday and that he will manage his workload throughout the week.

Tony Pollard, a fellow running back, also saw the news and said that he was ready to take the load if Elliott isn’t able to play.

“I mean whatever they ask of me to carry, I got it,” Pollard said. “They call it, I’m gonna haul it.”

Pollard is a Cowboys 1B running back. After finishing last season with 130 carries, Pollard now has 375 yards rushing and two touchdowns from 67 carries.

We will have to wait to see if Cowboys choose to be cautious in their matchup against Chicago Bears on Sunday.

Kickoff will take place at 1 p.m. ET.
