Philadelphia Eaglesٍ Star makes decision on 2020 season

We finally have confirmation on Jason Kelce’s future with the Philadelphia Eagles.

He’s back.

In a lengthy Instagram post on Thursday, many fans were expecting to read a retirement post. Instead, the 32-year old confirmed that he will be back with the Eagles for his 10th NFL season. However, he is retiring from competitive arm wrestling.

“#Eagles C Jason Kelce announces he’s retiring from arm wrestling… but will continue to play football,” via NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. “Philly has expected him back, and he’s as healthy as he’s been, so not a surprise. But now official.”

To summarize Kelce’s post, he expressed his “excitement’ to return to the Eagles.

“Enough media members and fans have reached out if I am playing next season, and I just wanted to make an announcement so I can stop getting asked. Can’t wait to be out there this season, can’t wait to have sports back, and I can’t wait till this lockdown is over. #GoEagles ”

Kelce finished his arm wrestling career 2-0; however, winning a second Super Bowl would be the better accolade.

Last offseason, Kelce signed a contract extension throughout the 2021 season. The former All-Pro has started every game since 2015. Barring any injury, he will look to continue that streak.

Last season, Kelce was named All-Pro for a third straight season.
