Look: Colin Cowherd Is Predicting 1 Big NFL Upset This Weekend

The most anticipated contest of the first round of the postseason’s second round is Sunday’s Super Wild Card Weekend matchup of the San Francisco 49ers and the Dallas Cowboys .

The No. The No. 3-seed Cowboys will face the No. 6th seed 49ers. This game favors Mike McCarthy and his Dallas team in their home stadium (-3.0).

According to Fox Sports analyst Colin Cowherd, there may be a major upset.

Cowherd chose the Niners to defeat the Cowboys during his “Blazin’ 5 Picks” segment on Friday. He predicts that San Francisco will win 28 to 27.

He explained that he went back and forth but had to follow his initial instincts on The Herd. “I’m taking San Francisco, the points, and the upset win.

“The road team has won 10 of the last 14 Wild Card games over the last three years. The offense for San Francisco leads the NFL in yards per play (6.1) — 49ers offense is hottest it’s been all year… Since Thanksgiving [Jimmy Garappolo] is a top-5 clutch quarterback in the league.”

The Niners won eight of their last 11 games after a slow start to the season. Cowherd believes that San Francisco’s combination rushing attack, rushing defense will win this weekend for the slight underdogs.

Sunday’s game starts at 4:30 p.m. ET at AT&T Stadium
