ESPN Analyst Has A QB Trade Suggestion For The Cowboys

ESPN’s Mina Kimes believes Cowboys will make this move at QBNow, let’s be clear because Miami’s Ryan Fitzpatrick is no trash. “Fitzmagic” led the Dolphins to a 3-3 record and are in second place in the division. However, Dolphins coach Brian Flores has elected to bench Fitzpatrick in favor of 2020 No. 5 overall pick Tua Tagovailo.

The Cowboys are in first place in the NFC East but own a 2-4 record. Some believe the Cowboys are going to be sellers at the trade deadline, specifically FS1’s Colin Cowherd. That comes after the Arizona Cardinals defeated the Cowboys 38-10 on Monday Night Football.

However, ESPN’s Mina Kimes has a bold prediction. She believes that Jerry Jones could try and make a move for Fitzpatrick.

“Whispers in the general direction of Dallas: Ryan Fitzpatrick would win the NFC East,” Kimes wrote on Twitter.

This would be a bold play after just one game with Andy Dalton at quarterback. Dalton has proved that he can win games in the past, but the quarterback position is not the issue. It’s the offensive line.

Head coach Mike McCarthy confirmed that offensive lineman Brandon Knight suffered a knee injury during the game and it required surgery. According to ESPN’s Ed Werder, McCarthy said that Knight will be out a few weeks.

“Cowboys lose offensive left tackle Brandon Knight, who suffered a knee injury last night and has already had surgery, coach Mike McCarthy said. Knight replaced Tyron Smith, who is out for the season following neck surgery.”

Smith was lost for the season just a couple of weeks ago as Knight took his place. This is a devastating blow as Zack Martin was also lost on Monday to a concussion.

Along with Smith, La’el Collins is lost, while Travis Frederick retired before the season. This once stellar offensive line is looking very rugged.

The team will take on the 1-5 Washington Football Team on Sunday.
