Earl Thomas’ Old Comment About The Cowboys Is Going Viral

Earl Thomas to the Dallas Cowboys has never been hotter than it is right now.

After it was reported on Sunday that the Baltimore Ravens plan to release the seven-time All-Pro safety. Thomas recently was involved in a physical altercation with a teammate that led to a punch in the face from Thomas’ end.

When Thomas was a part of the Seattle Seahawks, it was no secret that Thomas wanted to play in Dallas. There were rumors of potential trade packages that involved Thomas, but nothing came to fruition.

Now, an old tweet from Thomas during his last year in Seattle is resurfacing and going viral.

“When Seattle kicks me to the curb, please the Cowboys, come get me,” Thomas said. “That’s the only place I would rather be.”

The Cowboys had a chance to sign Thomas last offseason. Last year, according to Calvin Watkins of The Athletic, the Cowboys had “no interest” in signing Thomas.

“Price is everything,” said Watkins in 2019.

That is why the Ravens ultimately released Thomas because finding a trade partner was not likely. In 2019, Thomas signed a four-year, $55 million deal with the Ravens.

Last year, Thomas recorded 49 tackles, two interceptions, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, and two sacks in 15 games.

This is not the first major story related to Thomas during this offseason. In May, it was reported that Thomas’ wife “had a gun to his head ” when he was caught in an extramarital affair according to his wife.

The Cowboys are likely the No. 1 contender at this point, but nothing has been reported just yet.
