Cowboys Reportedly Make Big Special Teams Signing

According to Ian Rapoport, the Dallas Cowboys have resigned punter Bryan Anger to a three-year contract worth $9 million.

This past season, Anger won the first Pro-Bowl victory in his 10-year NFL career.

Anger, a veteran punter, averaged 48.4 yards per kick through 17 games in 2021, his first season with Dallas. His longest punt measured 63 yards. He also pinned 26 kicks inside the 20 yard line. He was second behind A.J Cole, a Las Vegas Raiders punter.

Anger spent two seasons in Houston with the Texans, and three years with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers before joining the Cowboys. Anger began his NFL career in 2012 after a four-year stint with Jacksonville.

This is a significant re-signing of special teams for Cowboys team, which will be looking to rebound from a disappointing season in 2021.
