Cowboys’ Mike McCarthy’s message ahead of return to Green Bay to face Packers

Former Packers head coach Mike McCarthy, Dallas Cowboys’ head coach, will be returning to Green Bay in Week 10. McCarthy has recently shared his emotions when he faced his former team, by Michael Gehlken.

“Emotional? I think really, it’s just like anything in this league, you have to get ready to go win. That’s where my mind is. …Obviously, I have great memories in Green Bay,” McCarthy said.

Later, Mike McCarthy stated that he discussed potential distractions with Cowboys. McCarthy also stated to the media that distractions are not an issue for him , per Michael Gehlken.

“Trust me: I’m the last person who ever wants to create a distraction or questions for somebody else. …I’m very grateful for my time there.”

Mike McCarthy and the Cowboys come into Week 10 with a record of 6-2. Dallas is flourishing despite the many injuries suffered by stars like Dak Prescott or Ezekiel Elliott.

For the Packers, it is quite the opposite. After a humiliating loss to the inept Detroit Lions, Green Bay dropped to 3-6. Without a doubt, the Packers are in disarray. The Cowboys are therefore a convincing favorite on the road.

However, Mike McCarthy is acutely aware of Aaron Rodgers’ talent. Despite the record gaps between these teams, McCarthy will not let Dallas take anything for granted.

This game could be more competitive than many people expect. Mike McCarthy, the Packers’ former coach, will give them extra motivation. There is always tension in NFC rivalries.
