Parsons was named defensive rookie of month for the second consecutive month. Parsons is close to breaking Jevon Kearse’s rookie sack record. Kearse had 14.5 sacks back in 1998 for the Tennessee Oilers.
This was Tennessee’s 2nd year, but the team did not adopt the nickname of “Titans”, until 1999.

“It is on my mind. Obviously, that would be an extraordinary thing to do for a guy that’s an off-ball linebacker. It would really mean a lot to me. I know I can do it,”
Parsons has been so dominant this year that he has received some attention for Defensive Players of the Year. His Cowboys teammate Trevon Diggers is also involved in this discussion. Diggs is the NFL’s leading interceptor with 11 this season.
In a crucial NFC matchup, the Cowboys will host the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday.
