Cowboys Have Reportedly Inquired About Wide Receiver Trade

Cedrick Wilson and Amari Cooper, both talented wide receivers, were lostthis offseason. The Houston Texans wideout Brandin cooks could be a target for the front office, considering the current depth chart.

NFL insider Jordan Schultz reports that Dallas called Houston to find out the current asking price for Cooks.

The Cowboys aren’t the only team interested in Cooks. Schultz stated that the Green Bay Packers, New York Jets and Oregon State are also interested in him.

Cooks, 28 years old, is entering his final year on his contract. The Texans should look into acquiring assets in exchange for Cooks’ extension if they don’t wish to sign him.

Cooks was able to receive 90 receptions for 1,037 yards, and six touchdowns despite having to deal with a poor quarterback room in 2021.

Cooks has had to deal with some injuries throughout his career but he still has six seasons of at least 1,000 yards receiving.

A Cowboys acquisition of a deep threat such as Cooks would open up their passing attack, especially since CeeDee Lamb and Michael Gallup are still on the roster.
