Cowboys Announce Decision On Michael Gallup For Buccaneers Game

After suffering an ACL tear last year, Michael Gallup has been rehabilitating. Cowboys decided not to place their wideout on the short-term injured reserve list or PUP lists for the start of the season. They hope that he’ll be available to play before Week 5. According to Mike Garafolo , Gallup has been officially ruled out of Dallas’s Week 1 matchup with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Early reports indicated that Gallup was unlikely to be available for week one against Tampa Bay. Although there were limited signs of hope this week, the Cowboys’ wide receiver was able to participate in practice.

Dallas will heavily rely on their number one wideout CeeDee lamb to take the majority of the load at wide receiver.

The Cowboys open their season against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in primetime on Sunday Night Football. Quarterback Dak Prescott is now in a position to appear on the injury report.

Prescott said that he left practice Thursday with an injury to his ankle, but Prescott describes it as “a little hangnail.”

“Honestly, it’s great. Prescott stated that something may be found in the report. “If you fail to report a hangnail, you will be fined. But I feel great. It’s still the best feeling I have ever felt in a long time. “Just a little hangnail”

Prescott said that he would be fine when reporters asked him about the situation. He will not be restricted during Sunday’s game against Tampa Bay.

“I’m good to go,” Prescott said. “I promise you I’m great.”
