Video: Odell Beckham Jr. Removed From Flight Ahead of Cowboys Visit: Police

Odell Bettham Jr is an NFL wide receiver . According to Andy Slater , Beckham was kicked out of a plane in Miami Sunday. According to Slater, Beckham was apparently in and out of consciousness and refused to wear his seatbelt. Beckham was on his flight to Los Angeles, and everyone else on board had to get off because he refused to leave.

Before the report, Beckham took to Twitter to share a cryptic message about the incident.

In a tweet , Beckham stated that “I have never experienced what just happened …,”.” It’s all I’ve ever seen …”

Since then, the Miami-Dade Police has released a statement regarding the incident involving Beckham via Tom Pelissero.

“At approximately 9:30 a.m., officers from the Miami-Dade Police Department, were dispatched to a medical emergency at an American Airlines flight,” the statement read. “The flight crew was concerned for a passenger (Mr. Odell Beckham), as they tried to wake him to fasten his seat belt, eh appeared to be coming in and out of consciousness, prior to their departure. Fearing that Mr. Beckham was seriously ill, and that his condition would worsen through the expected 5 hour flight, the attendants called for police and fire rescue. Upon the officer’s arrival, the flight crew asked Mr. Beckham several times to exit the aircraft, which he refused. The aircraft was deplaned, at which time Mr. Beckham was asked by the officers to exit the plane, and did so without incident. Mr. Beckham was escorted to the non-secure area of the terminal by the officers where he made other arrangements.”

Because of his status as a free agent, Beckham is one the most prominent names in the league. The former No. 12 overall pick and two time All-Pro receiver won the Super Bowl with Los Angeles Rams last season, but was granted free agency after sustaining an ACL tear.

The Dallas Cowboys are one of the teams involved in Beckham’s pursuit. Both players and team ownership have spoken out about Beckham’s desire to join them. This was most recently after they beat the New York Giants on Thanksgiving Day. After the game, Around The NFL’s Jeremy Bergman spoke out about Beckham’s comments to Jane Slater of the NFL Network.

“Ezekiel Elliott to [Jane Slater] on his message to Odell Beckham: ‘Hey, OBJ, man: We want you in Dallas. You know, all the stars shine brighter in Dallas. So I mean, look, we’ve got to do what we’ve got to do to get him. Hey, we need OBJ.’”

Elliott is not the only Dallas star asking Beckham to join them. DeMarcus Lawrence, Micah Parsons and Dak Prescott are all pushing for an agreement between the two sides. Prescott stated on Tuesday that the team’s win against the Minnesota Vikings was a strong recruiting effort.

“When we’re playing like [how we did in Minnesota] and you’re able to add a talent like Odell, that can be special,” said Prescott. “That just creates more weapons for not only me, but for the offense [as a whole] and for the play-caller. It’s more things for the defense to worry about.

“We are getting him in [for an interview] and we hope things are going well in the recruitment process.”

The chase for Beckham is also being led by the Giants and Buffalo Bills.
