Video: Massive Hit On Ezekiel Elliott Sums Up The Cowboys Day

Video of Zeke’s failed block sum of Sunday afternoon’s loss

After watching Zeke get rocked, it pretty much summed up the entire afternoon for the Dallas Cowboys.

The Dallas Cowboys are now 2-5 after losing 25-3 to the Washington Football Team. In the middle of the second quarter, the Cowboys had a 3rd-and-9 from their own 36-yard line. Quarterback Andy Dalton took the snap in the shotgun with Elliott blocking, but it did not hold.

Cole Holcomb ran right through the middle. Instead of blocking him, Elliott was trucked by the Washington defender and Dalton was sacked. This was then followed by a touchdown in which WFT led 15-3 in the first half.

Dalton left the game with a concussion, but he looked terrible. Dalton was so bad that there are rumors that the Cowboys could look to swing a trade for Ryan Fitzpatrick. Dalton finished the game 9 of 19 for 75 yards and an interception.

Elliott rushed for just 45 yards, while Michael Gallup and CeeDee Lamb  were both held to zero receptions and zero yards.

Antonio Gibson had his way with the Dallas defense as he finished with 128 rushing yards on 20 carries and two touchdowns. Kyle Allen just needed 194 yards of offense in the air and threw for two touchdowns.

The Cowboys have scored just one touchdown in two games, which is a huge black eye. If the Cowboys can’t fix their issues soon, the team could spiral towards a top pick in the draft.

Ever since Dak Prescott went down with a season-ending injury, the offense just hasn’t clicked. It almost looked like a star running back getting hit and sticked while blocking.

Too soon?
