The Cowboys’ Defense Got A Boost On Thursday Afternoon

Jourdan Lewis, the cornerback, was allowed to take the field again on Thursday. He was initially placed on the reserve/COVID-19 roster on Christmas Eve, and he missed the blowout win against the Washington Football Team this Sunday.

Lewis, a fifth year Dallas veteran, has played in 11 of the 14 Cowboys games this season. He’s had three interceptions, 53 tackles and 1.5 sacks while on the field.

In Lewis’s absence, Rookie CB Kelvin Joe made the start this Sunday.

The Cowboys now have six COVID-19 players, thanks to Lewis’s return. Today, Kyron Brown and Tyler Coyle, practice squad defensive backs, were added to the COVID-19 list.

Yesterday, safety Malik Hooker was activated and defensive tackle Trysten H participated in Wednesday’s practice.

On Sunday, the 11-4 Cowboys will take on the Arizona Cardinals.
