Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger reveals what will force him to shave his giant beard

Big Ben comments on why his beard is so long

Will NFL teams fear the beard in 2020?

Many people grow facial hair for a variety of reasons. Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger commented on Sirius XM with Bruce Murray and former Steeler Bruce Gradkowski about his very long beard.

It turns out that Big Ben  decided to grow the beard when he was flying out of a surgical procedure on his elbow, which was sustained during Week 2 of the 2019 NFL season.

“I’m not sure why,” the Steelers QB said. “I just felt something that said don’t cut your hair or your beard until you come back.”

However, it turns out that his wife would like to see it gone sooner than later.

“She liked it at first,” Ben Roethlisberger said with a sigh. “Hates it now. I keep saying that she’s going to cut it off in my sleep.”

Since growing out his beard, members of the NFL community have trolled the two-time Super Bowl champion.

Recently, a video of Big Ben surfaced, and his beard made him look like he had been quarantined for a decade. Social distancing might have hit Big Ben pretty hard because it looks like his wife has said nothing about his looks.

Of course, given his looks, he has received some laughs from the NFL community. One of those comments came from Dallas Cowboys star defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence.

“Great message Big Ben. But what in the Evan Almighty, Tom Hanks in Castaway is going on here…… “

Hopefully, when quarantine is over, a good barber can make his way to the quarterback’s residence.
