Michael Gallup Reveals Why He Didn’t Play vs. Giants

Michael Gallup was set to make his debut in 2022’s season on Monday against the New York Giants. The Dallas Cowboys decided to keep him on the sidelines for another week.

Gallup spoke to reporters Wednesday and explained why he wasn’t dressed up Monday night. He just didn’t feel right.

Gallup has no limitations for Cowboys.

Gallup stated that he is hopeful that he will play against the Washington Commanders this Sunday, even though the Cowboys haven’t made a decision.

“I hope so. It’s been a while,” Gallup said, via Jon Machota of The Athletic. “Just have another good week, see what it feels like.”

Gallup has not been able to return to action since January when he tore his ACL. CeeDee Lamb will feel a lot more pressure after his return to the field.

Gallup’s return may also allow Noah Brown to get more separation. Gallup has been a pleasant surprise, catching 15 passes for 213 yards with a touchdown.

Gallup’s status will be announced by the Cowboys on Friday.
