Look: 5 Cowboys Players Won’t Play vs. Bengals

When the Dallas Cowboys take on the reigning AFC Champion Cincinnati Bengals, they will be a bit shorthanded.

The Cowboys released Friday’s final injury report for the week. Five players were ruled out of Sunday’s game before the scheduled time.

Dak Prescott, safety Jayron Kearse, defensive end Tarrell Bashem, and offensive guard Connor McGovern were all among them, despite not practicing at all during the week. Wide receiver Michael Gallup was also excluded, despite having only practiced three days in succession.

The injury to Dak will have a greater impact on the Dallas Cowboys than any of the other players. His hand injury has kept him out of action for about a month.

Even before Dak Prescott’s hand injury, the Dallas Cowboys offense was looking sluggish. The team was expected to be less explosive than last year, when they were the league’s top offense.

But to fail to score a touchdown in the first game of the season was outright stunning.

Cooper Rush will be taking over Dak Prescott’s role for the Cowboys over the next few week.

Can the Cowboys overcome injuries and win the victory over the Bengals Sunday?
