Dallas Cowboys: Mike McCarthy Confirms the Return of Multiple Starters

On Sunday, the Dallas Cowboys (6-2), will face Green Bay Packers (3-6) team. Green Bay PackersĀ  are currently on a losing streak of five games and have poor offensive play.

The Cowboys are 5.5-point favorites. This is actually a three-point increase from Sunday. The Packers lost to the Detroit Lions. With uncertainty surrounding RB Aaron Jones and his share of RB AJ Dillion, the line could change once again.

The good news is that the Cowboys will have some help on defense with the returns of safety Malik Hooker as well as edge rusher Sam Williams. Ezekiel Elliott will also be returning.

Mike McCarthy, the head coach, confirmed his confirmation on his first visit to Green Bay since leaving.

These three players are crucial cogs of the Dallas Cowboys team.

Hooker was the single-highest safety in the team’s starting lineup and had one of his best seasons so far. Sam Williams, a rookie, is also contributing to a stellar pass rush rotation, with Hooker recording two sacks and four tackles for losses, as well as four QB pressures on 101 defensive snaps.

Although Zeke isnā€™t the main feature back, he and Tony Pollard are one of the most respected RB tandems in league. He has 475 yards combined and four touchdowns, which is his highest yardage per game average since 2020.

The Dallas Cowboys are preparing for a postseason run. The players are performing at their best, and reinforcements are in the works.

The Cowboys have a bye week which means they are one week more healthy than the Packers. Hooker, Williams, and Elliott will all be back.
