Cowboys Starting veteran Player Signs with Pittsburgh Steelers

Former Dallas Cowboys safety found a new home in this offseason. According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler the former cowboy will be heading up north to Pittsburgh to join the Steelers.

Shortly after the 2022 NFL Draft, the news about Kazee joining Steelers broke.

According to a source, Damontae Kazee, a free agent safety, has signed a one year deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Fowler tweeted that a five-year veteran has twelve career interceptions.

The Atlanta Falcons have selected Kazee as the fifth round pick. He was drafted out of San Diego State in the 2017 NFL Draft. After spending the first four years in Atlanta, the veteran safety signed with the Cowboys to follow Dan Quinn’s lead to Dallas. Kazee played in 15 of 17 Cowboys games. Kazee finished the year with 52 tackles, 35 solo, four passes deflections and two interceptions. The ball-hawking safety has 12 interceptions in his career. Seven of those were during the 2018 season, when he tied for first place in the NFL.
