Cowboys Released Wide Receiver On Tuesday Afternoon

The Dallas Cowboys made an earlier change at wide receiver this week.

On Tuesday, the team announced that Dennis Houston had been cut.

Houston was present in both Cowboys games this season. He had two receptions for 16 yards.

After he developed strong chemistry and a rapport with Dak Prescott, he was a Cowboys training camp hero. He was able to be an active roster member due to his performance at camp and injuries to James Washington and Michael Gallup.

Unfortunately, it didn’t work out, but Houston will be able to sign with the Cowboys’ practice team if he clears waivers.

Gallup could be moving closer to his return. Due to an ACL injury that he sustained at the end last season, he missed the first two games.
