Cowboys Might Be Back In Play For Big Free Agent

The Dallas Cowboys have been looking for pass-rush help over the last few days. Their efforts have not been very successful.

They lost Randy Gregory to Denver Broncos and were unable to outbid Buffalo Bills for Von Miller.

Dallas has a chance to win former All-Pro pass rusher Za’Darius Smith.

Multiple reporters reported that Smith had signed a four year, $35 million contract with the Baltimore Ravens. Ian Rapoport, NFL Network’s reporter, announced that Smith had decided to not sign the contract.

Cowboys insider Bobby Belt believes the team should take a shot at Smith now that Smith is back on the market. He tweeted “Hey Dallas.”

Smith’s tenure began on a positive note with the Green Bay Packers. He recorded 26 sacks his first two seasons. Unfortunately, Smith’s 2021 season was cut short by a back injury.

Smith has some injuries concerns, but he would give the Cowboys’ pass rush an extra boost if he was healthy.
