Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes breaks silence on Tyreek Hill’s criticisms of his accuracy

After trading All-Pro wide receiver Tyreek Hills to the Miami Dolphins, the Kansas City Chiefs will be a different team this season. The podcast It Must Be Said was launched by the former Chiefs wide receiver. made bold comments. Hill said that Tua Tagovailoa is his new quarterback and more accurate than Mahomes. Hill also stated that he felt he deserved more credit in the success of Chiefs’ offense.

Mahomes was then questioned about Hill’s comments regarding the Chiefs minicamp’s last day. NBC Sports’ Myles Simmons captured Mahomes’ thoughts.

“I’m surprised a little just because I felt like we love Tyreek here. We’ve always loved him. We still love him… But I’m sure it had something to do with trying to get his podcast some stuff, get it rolling,” said Mahomes. “But as you know in coach Reid’s offense, it takes the whole team. This offense was rolling before I got here. This offense was rolling when I was a young Cowboys fan watching the Eagles beat up on the Cowboys. So I mean, it’s an offense that’s more than one player — and that includes myself.”

Since joining the league, Mahomes  The Chiefs QB has been known for his incredible accuracy. Tagovailoa has been able to throw deep but is accurate with short passes and intermediate passes.

It will be interesting to see how true Hill’s words are this season. Mahomes made a living from finding explosive Hill downfield and breaking plays. This year, that will not be the case. It will be fascinating to see how Kansas City’s offense is without Hill.
