BREAKING: Dallas Cowboys Released Four Players On Tuesday

The Dallas Cowboys had to reduce five players from their roster ahead of Tuesday’s deadline for cutting the 80-man roster.

The team also cut cornerback Quandre Moely, kicker Lirim Hajrullahu and wide receiver Jaquarii Roberson, as well as linebacker Christian Sam. They also transferred tight end Jeremy Sprinkle from the injured reserve.

With the release of Hajrullahu, a recently-signed Brett Maher is now the only kicking option on the Dallas squad. Jonathan Garibay, a rookie kicker, was also released by the Cowboys earlier in the month.

Mosley signed earlier this offseason as an undrafted agent from Kentucky, but was unable win a roster spot in a tight-packed DB room.

Roberson, a Wake Forest rookie undrafted, couldn’t capitalize on his preseason opportunity due to serious injuries at the wide receiver position.

Sam was challenged to earn a spot on the Cowboys’ roster behind their strong linebacker unit. The veteran LB couldn’t make it onto the depth chart.

Next Tuesday will be the last day of 53-man roster cuts.
