Breaking Cowboys Sign 4-Time Pro Bowl and Former 1st Round Pick Linebacker

The Dallas Cowboys appeared to be intent on increasing their pass rush earlier in the offseason.

Randy Gregory and Von Miller were both offered significant contracts by Dallas, but they chose to sign elsewhere. The team also brought in Takkarist McKinley, a former Atlanta Falcons player.

Although the Cowboys didn’t sign a pass rusher, the team is adding to its defensive side. Mike Garafolo of the NFL Network reports that the Cowboys signed Anthony Barr, the 9th overall pick.

It’s worth a look.

Barr was the Minnesota Vikings’ first-round selection in 2014. Barr, a former UCLA star, made an immediate impact and was named to the Pro Bowl in his second season.

This was his first of four consecutive Pro Bowl appearances with the Vikings. Barr, who has spent his entire eight-year Vikings career, is now ready to wear a new uniform.

Star linebacker for the Cowboys joins a solid linebacking corps.
