Ezekiel Elliott Reveals Message To Teammates After Dak’s Injury

Even though Dak Prescott went down, the Cowboys had a game to still play.

Against the New York Giants, Prescott went down late in the third quarter and underwent surgery late Sunday night. With a quarter left to play, backup quarterback Andy Dalton came in to help lead the team in a victory over New York.

In that moment, there were a lot of feelings surrounding the air as the Cowboys just lost their best player and emotional leader. As the team responded, running back Ezekiel Elliott made a charge for the team according to NFL insider Jane Slater.

It’s clear how much Dak means to those around the league.

Former Cowboys Dez Bryant called for the Jones family to pay Prescott after the season, while FOX analyst Troy Aikman tweeted that he was “devastated” for him.

Even divisional rivals sent out heartfelt tributes, including Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz.

Since Wentz suffered a torn ACL in the 2017 season, he has not looked like his former MVP self. During that season, Wentz was playing like the league’s potential MVP before he had to sit back and watch Nick Foles lead the Philadelphia Eagles to their first Super Bowl title.

After the injury occurred, Wentz was like many from the rest of the league that took to Twitter to extend his best wishes.

“Worst part of the game. Definitely praying for @dak,” tweeted Wentz.

Everyone is hopeful that there will be a speedy recovery.
