Clemson wide receiver Justyn Ross was drafted undrafted in the NFL Draft. He will have a chance to prove that he is capable of making an impact in the pros this summer.
Ross was diagnosed with congenital fusion and has signed as an undrafted agent with the Kansas City Chiefs.
Brett Veach, Chiefs general manager, announced Tuesday that Ross was cleared by a doctor to play football.
“With Justyn, everyone kind of knows the story. He’s certainly a really talented individual that has gone through his share of injuries at Clemson. One thing, trying to go back to last year and the Trey Smith set up, I mean, I’ve always said that our docs are on the more conservative side” Veach said, via Chiefs Wire. “We spent a lot of time, and I know our doctors at KU spent a lot of time talking to the experts that dealt with Justyn. He’s cleared.”

Ross was a major playmaker for Clemson when he was healthy. Ross finished his college career with 158 receiving yards for 2,379 yards, and 20 touchdowns.
The Kansas City wide receiver depth chart is very crowded right now. Skyy Moore and JuJu SmithSchuster are all expected to make it onto the Week 1 roster.
Ross could be eligible for a roster spot if he shows promise in training camp.
