Dallas Cowboys Could Be Without Another Starting Key Player This Weekend

The Dallas Cowboys could have some problems with special teams against the Atlanta Falcons this Sunday.

After a bye, the Cowboys lost to the Denver Broncos 30-16 last Sunday. They fell to 6-2. They will try to bounce back against the 4-4 Atlanta Falcons. They should hope that the game does not come down to a field goal.

According to Michael Gehlken, Dallas Morning News, kicker Greg Zuerlein was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 roster on Tuesday.

On Wednesday, the Cowboys will hold a kicker training session. Zuerlein won’t likely be available Sunday.

Dak Prescott’s Cowboys performance against the Falcons could overshadow any kicking woes.

The Cowboys’ quarterback knows they weren’t up to the mark against the Broncos on Sunday.

Prescott said that “we got beat”, following the upset via CBS Sports. “We were beaten in every aspect of this game, especially the offense. Didn’t get it going. We scored a few touchdowns at the end, but it never got moving.

“I made a few mistakes. We didn’t catch or throw the ball as often as we usually do. This was not our best performance, but it was clearly our worst year. These guys deserve credit.

The Cowboys lost to the Broncos because they were on a bye and had to recover from an injury. These same excuses are not valid against the Falcons.
