Jerry Jones Shares The Latest On Tyron Smith’s Injury

It is not clear if Tyron Smith, Cowboys’ offensive tackle, will play against the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday.

Jerry Jones, Cowboys owner was asked by 105.3 The Fan Dallas about Smith’s status heading into the game. He was somewhat mum about it.

Jones stated, “We’ll be watching.” Jones said, “It will depend on how much pain he can endure there.”

Smith was injured in his ankle by the Vikings on Halloween Night, and was unable to play against the Broncos that Sunday.

In particular, in 2020, he’s been injured several times over the past couple of seasons. Smith sustained a neck injury in drills before a matchup against the Falcons. He was out of action for two games. Smith suffered a setback in Week 5, and was forced to miss the remainder of the season.

Smith can be a great tackle when he is healthy. Ezekiel Elliott had only 51 yards on 10 carries in the run game against Denver.

Dallas managed to get 78 yards without Smith playing.

Dallas will try to get him back and get back on track after the 30-16 loss. Atlanta kickoff will take place at 1 p.m. ET.
