On Sunday, the Dallas Cowboys won unexpectedly when backup quarterback Cooper Rush led them over the Cincinnati Bengals to win in relief of Dak Prescott.
Will Dak be available to play against the New York Giants in Cowboys’ Week 3 matchup? Stephen Jones, Cowboys vice-president, made it clear that Dak won’t be available for the Cowboys’ big Week 3 matchup against the New York Giants.
Jones made the announcement on 105.3 The Fan Dallas that Dak won’t play against the Giants in Week 3, and is not likely to play against Washington Commanders in Week 4. Jones suggested that Week 4 against the Super Bowl champion Los Angeles Rams would be the best.
The Cowboys have a lucky thing: Cooper Rush’s performance in Week 2 will give fans hope that they are able to hold on while Dak heals from a serious hand injury.

Cooper Rush completed 61 percent of his passes for 235 yard and a touchdown in the 20-17 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals.
Rush now has a record of 2-0 in his two Cowboys starts in relief for Dak Prescott. This is a great result for a player who didn’t get his first start in the league until his fifth year.
Rush should be able to lead the Cowboys to at least one win in the next two weeks. That will put them in a good position for when Dak returns in mid-season.
